The Land of Ponzi
‘Meritocracy’ is its code word. When hearing it uttered, hold onto your sanity.
January 24, twelve hours before Pete Hegseth is confirmed by a tie vote to serve as the next Secretary of Defense.
America inured to perversion, and now to scheming, her institutions devolving to Ponzi-scheme inspired ventures. (1, 2)
During his testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Pete Hegseth, President 47’s pick for “SecDef,” offered the following insight into his appointer’s mindset: “he doesn’t tip his hand on strategy.” I pondered the meaning of this verbal aside. As many observed, I too consumed the many ways Hegseth, if confirmed as DOD Secretary, could be compromised.
Wasn’t Pete Hegseth assisting the Senators acknowledge the many ways he would compromise America’s security? It’s early morning Friday, January 24, and as the Senate tip toes around abandoning its sober duty to advise and consent, 49 out of 100 Senators remain unconvinced Hegseth could serve America’s military without reservation. I am told unanimous approval is common during these proceedings, a “courtesy” afforded the Executive branch.
I ask, can Hegseth successfully play the 51 Senators?
Look no further. We have arrived at America, the Land of Ponzi.
