The Case for Sovereignty
Deciphering America’s surrender to globalization.
February 14 2025
During the recent diplomatic foray by the T**** administration, one did not hear the term “sovereignty” mentioned by the American delegation led by Vice President Vance (1). Instead, what one heard were platitudes like “freedom,” “rationality,” “common sense.”
There was more talk about how to achieve peace, than there were options for maintaining borders. More talk about ‘re-examining, sorting and transacting/measuring’ America’s participation in a free and secure Europe, than about a common will to support democratic institutions and societies.

But when and how far would America go to dismantle the efforts of mutual support, to abrogate moral responsibility for a sovereign Ukraine?
