Now that America has suffered through the prime-time free political advertising spectacle called the party convention, America is on to the “final push,” to November 5.

Not really. As the following will show, some dies have already been cast. THE ELECTION does not occur in November. The 2024 Election is finishing up in November. “Pre-election” voting starts in North Carolina next week. Absentee voting in many states starts in a fortnight.

All is not new.

There is a political campaign to debase and the opportunity for more character defamation. A sorry excuse for a national political discussion, but “it’s the best we’ve got.”

Debasement in the basement,” could have described Trump’s 2020 attempt to ridicule his opponent’s delivering political messages from his basement in Wilmington. There was a pandemic going on. While Trump was igniting “super spreaders,” Biden was doing the right thing.

Not much has changed in 2024 except that Trump now has a loudmouth running mate, with little political experience to speak of and a deviant view of middle America, which is most of Electoral College ‘must-win’ America.
