10 Lies We Tell Ourselves

Ask, why did then President Trump release the mag perimeter on January 6, 2021? ‘Let them in…They’re not here to hurt me.’ (1)

Ten lies we tell ourselves:

Lie number one: violence is not the answer.

Then why is the threat of violence condoned, why is abiding violence repeated in our political rhetoric?

Lie number two: (this will be) a non-violent revolution unless the Democrats decide to be violent. (2)

Lie number three: the court of public opinion will decide.

Then why is individual freedom invoked as reason to violate the law?

Lie number four: they are coming for our jobs, our women, our babies.

Then why do we vote against job security, women’s rights, and family health? Why do we condone book banning? Why do we defund public education?

Lie number five: the Constitution needs fixing.

Then why is the Constitution not being enforced?

Lie number six: it’s their fault. They are to blame.

Then why do we divide some and put them in jails and (detention) camps? Why do we abhor ‘standing together?’
