Do You Hate Donald Trump?

The immorality lurking behind this question.

It has been said that a moral space exists between another person and the observed behavior, or acts associated with ‘them.’ To render the immorality of an act is specifically to disassociate the agent from the agency.

One can hate an act, which is not to say one therefore hates the perpetrator. No more than to love a victim.

Laws are meant to govern, not specifically to punish certain individuals. Plato knew this. Shakespeare knew this. Apparently, Donald Trump nor his lawyers know this:

Necheles: Do you hate Donald Trump?

Daniels: No, I don’t hate Donald Trump. I just want him held accountable for what he has done.

-Thursday, May 9 transcript, cross examination of Stormy Daniels, People v Donald Trump

Documents don’t breed intent; documents corroborate intent. If you’re a prosecutor, you have to convince the jury of intent. You need to question the people around him, the people close to him. You need to get at the intent to violate the law.

On Monday, May 13, Michael Cohen, former “personal lawyer” in the Trump Organization, aka “fixer,” will take the stand as the main prosecutorial witness in People v Donald Trump. Needless to say Cohen brings some baggage to the reckoning…
