Twenty days out: Russian “troll polls” and clueless white males.

October 16. 5:07am. My 2024 campaign inner brain — what is left of it — is talking back to me.

Home stretch. Time to get to the phones. Time to have a chat with Dave who voted for you know who in 2016 and 2020. Time to root out the holdouts. Like people who fear the next poll ’cause they don’t want to think they may be voting for a ‘loser.’ You know them: “the sky is falling in and what can my vote do about it bedwetters.

There are other holdouts, “undecided-decided,” the clueless white males.

My crowd.

Let me start with a ‘not so clueless’ white male, Bill Kristol. Kristol has a point to make. (1) It’s white males, not black and Latino males, who have to get on board and help elect Kamala. Not that all males aren’t needed. Just don’t let your racism cloud the fact that when it comes to Kamala holdouts there are less of them and more of us.

As I see it, there are two barriers that block our recovery. First off: have we abandoned reason for regressive playground antics? That world of winners and losers, taunts and scrapes, where we blew off steam before going back inside the school and dealing with bigger, grayer matters.

Oh, you say, you’re not sure you’re one of them. Check with your partner, or trusted…
